Here's a unique opportunity! You can receive a free packet of 1847 Sourdough Starter (you do have to submit a self-addressed stamped envelope). Their website includes lots of sourdough recipes as well as specific instructions how to revive and feed your starter. Originally distributed by the late Carl Griffith, this starter has been kept alive by his family for over 150 years.
